The Hupfmühle is situated right above the world famous recreational village of St. Wolfgang which offers a multitude of possibilities for hiking and excursions. Whether it is for a family, a sportsman, the bon vivant, children, adults or pensioners... there is the right opportunity for everybody to enjoy their holiday.
The area can also be explored on a mountain bike. The lake invites to do all sorts of water sports and bathing (we provide our own bathing place by the lake).
The Salzkammergut Golf Club is nearby.
We are pleased to organise for our guests such special activities like ballooning, rafting, canoeing or alpine climbing.

The Hupfmühle is an ideal starting point for hiking tours of every kind. Whether one wants to take just a short walk on the sun terraces above St. Wolfgang, or go on a fairly easy hike that could also be done with children, or intends a whole day hiking tour to the surrounding mountains – all can be done from the Hupfmühle, even without using the car.

Cross-country skiing

The flat meadows along Lake Wolfgangsee provide many possibilities for cross-country skiing, even starting directly by the Hupfmühle. If there is not enough snow in the valley one can go to the high plateau of the Postalm, 1150 metres, where there are many prepared cross-country tracks for all different levels. This area is only 25 minutes by car from the Hupfmühle.
